A Sunday in Bordeaux: Our Favourite Activities

In Bordeaux, Sundays have a rhythm all of their own. The streets of the Saint-Michel neighbourhood slowly come to life to enjoy the second-hand market that sets up at the foot of the basilica; the regulars take their time, and at Mlle Potts & Co, that’s exactly what we like to foster: a moment of respite, without being rushed by anything or anyone.

The buffet brunch – the highlight of the week

Every Sunday, the buffet offers everything we love in a perfect brunch: homemade pastries, eggs cooked to order, signature granola, roasted fruit and hot or cold drinks. Gluten-free and vegan options are always available, so everyone can put together their own plate at their own pace.

A cosy spot designed with families in mind

On Sundays, families also get to settle in: there’s a dedicated children’s area, activities to keep them entertained whilst the grown-ups finish their coffee in peace, and an atmosphere designed to welcome young and old alike in a stress-free setting.

The library and board games: a chance to slow down

The shared library – one section for adults and another for younger children – and the board games are available all week, but it’s on Sundays that they really come into their own: an impromptu family game, a book borrowed whilst enjoying a coffee, or simply some screen-free time.

Workshops happening on Sundays too

As well as this weekly event, workshops and activities are sometimes added to the Sunday programme: some become regular fixtures, whilst others are one-off launches that we trial depending on interest and the season. It’s the perfect way to turn an ordinary Sunday into an opportunity to discover a new activity, whether on your own, with friends or with family.
